Welcome to R. Dickinson Physiotherapy Ltd

About me

I am a Senior Chartered and State Registered Physiotherapist who has been practicing physiotherapy since graduating with a BSc Hons in 1999.

I have since studied at the Royal Veterinary College in London to qualify with a Masters degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy. I am insured and professionally qualified to conduct clinical assessments and physiotherapy treatment on both humans and a range of animals.

My private practice provides a highly personal and caring approach to physiotherapy. I am accredited by BUPA and recognised by most major health insurers. I specialise particularly in Musculoskeletal complaints, Sporting Injuries and Rehabilitation of Orthopaedic and Elderly clients.

Veterinary Physiotherapy

Veterinary Physiotherapy is recognised and accredited by most major Veterinary insurance companies.

The modern Chartered Physiotherapist/Animal Physiotherapist uses a wide range of skills including manipulation, mobilisation, massage and exercises, often aided by the use of sophisticated electronic modalities - all designed to help in restoring function, the relief of pain and to promote healing. Preventative measures are very important in physiotherapy. The Chartered Physiotherapist will spend time teaching the patient/animal owner how to avoid recurrence of the problem.

Chartered Physiotherapy

A growing number of chartered physiotherapists now work with animals. The word "Chartered" is protected by law and can only be used by physiotherapists who have experienced extensive practical and academic training at degree level.

For your safety, when choosing a physiotherapist for either yourself or an animal, ensure that the letters "MCSP" are written after their name.
